He is a quite good looking horse(when he's not caked in mud)as his breeding is great. His great granddad is Nebo Black Magic and his grandad is Derwen Telynor. Merlin(my welsh cob) is doing really well and his being worked more than 4 days a week.

love the breed have bought a sweetheart who definately has the welsh cob in him but there are no details . have always loved the breed total amateur but want to do more gradually interested in endurance but very much just getting to grips with riding experienced with looking after all sorts of anima;s and looking for a toally calm hacker for my daughter who definately is not a pony club type butgood rider but nervous
i am a calm rider but not experienced but bags of common sense more into showing and riding on the moors than competing for points. we have lambs ,guinea pigs two horses , one arthritic - couldn/nt give her up and one far too good for me boy is he going to get a shock this year when we start doing thingsinterested in endurance but don't know where to start

Comments:I am a big fan of Welsh cobs and I loved your site. I did own a Welsh cob mare and she was wonderfull in every way. I am actually looking for permanent full-time work with horses and wonder if anyone can help. I have 14yrs hands on experience with horses. I can do all general stable duties, excersising, schooling, breaking and backing and a little jumping. I have a partner who is a fabricating welder who will find work anywhere we go. We have a son together who is nearing school age. We would love to find somewhere before Sep 05 and be settled before our sons schooling starts. If anyone can offer me work anywhere in the U.K, I would very much like to here from you. You can email me at rhubarb.custard@ntlworld.com

My sister and I are promoting the Welsh Cob here in Australia with our website, a annual handbook (since 1995) and coming soon DVD multimedia discs. I wish we had more stock here like yours in Australia. I hope one day I can visit your stud if I ever get to Wales. Thanks, Mona

Comments:Your cobs are all so beautiful, especially Dragon, and I can only hope he will be at public stud in the future, and that my young mare is approved because he would be the first choice I would make to put to my section D mare, Rawcliffe Sian. She's almost four years old, mahogany bay with a blaze and four white socks. Her dam is a mare called Rawcliffe Lady and her sire is Goyallt Dai. A very pretty thing she is! I also have a black section d gelding, Pleasington Harry (Out of Pleasington Charlotte, by Goyallt Magic Flyer). He's 19 now, but most people think he's half that age! I used to do BSJA with him when I was a junior; he's very talented! I love welsh cobs for their versatility as well as their temperaments and beauty, they really are the perfect choice of horse for me. Good luck with everything for the future!

I have recently bought a Sydenham mare by Nebo Magic and out of Sydenham Orchid so I'm now trying to find out a bit more about her, with a view to doing some inhand classes this year whilst we work on the ridden (she has been a broodmare for 5 years!) If anyone has any info on these bloodlines I'd really appreciate it.

Comments:I wonder if anyone can help - I have a Section D, which I have owned for six months and love him to bits. However, about three months ago he started to shy quite badly and very flambouyantly and unseating at everything and anything - I moved yards a couple of months ago, but this started a month before we moved - any ideas to get him out of this. (He does it in hand as well - any noise, strange person etc). He was quite steady before that. He's coming up to 9 and had been in the same home with one other horse for 6 years before I bought him, he hadn't done a lot, although I was told he had been trained in western and been hacking. I haven't tried hacking yet as it takes everything just to get him from the yard to the school and then I have to avoid certain areas. I used to exercise him every day for about an hour, but since he's been doing this the nerve is failing a bit so he's being lunged for 30 mins and depending on his mood ridden for about 15 mins. Any advice would be much appreciated - I'm a relative novice and middle aged - can't afford to fall off too often but I'm far too fond of him (as he is of me) to let him go!

I think the welsh cob has lost a lot of what it is meant to be.
Well done to you for redressing the balance your horses are beautiful

Comments: We have for sale a welsh sec D 14.2 gelding for sale by trevallion harry. he is 7 years old, has done all pc activities, done xc, sj ect. he is full of character and enourmous presence. He is black with 4 white socks, has really, excellent conformation and is always noticed. he is enormous fun and a great friend, he will be missed very much, so i am desperately seeking a kind, loving, fun home to bring out his potential. i think he has the potential to do very well in dressage, sj and xc, he would make a great allrounder or eventer as well as a show or competition pony. not novice ride. £5500 including fitted quality english tack and rugs, very sadly for sale as outgrown. please email me (visitfish@msn.com) if you are interested. thank you.
